A gift to The Bluebird Foundation

The Geelong Music Teachers Association (GMTA) is proud to support the work of the Bluebird Foundation which is a Geelong based philanthropic organization that aims to deliver quality arts programs that make a real difference in people's lives. The Bluebird Foundation recognizes the power of active participation in the arts to affect cultural change within communities, resulting in improved social, emotional and health outcomes. The importance of comprehensive music learning in the early years of a child’s life cannot be over-estimated. The donation from the GMTA to the Bluebird Foundation reflects our understanding of the importance of music learning in the early years and our desire to support and promote music programs in which singing, listening, moving and playing enable children from all backgrounds to have opportunities to access joyful music learning.
